Rental Procedures
Committees
Each committee is comprised of several members interested in a particular area of the Club.  More
information may be obtained about a specific committee by contacting the Club office.

Activities:  This committee designs new activities and supports traditional activities that can be
offered to the general membership, such as bus trips, picnics, nature walks, hikes, and bike tours.

Annual Meeting/Dinner:  Committee members arrange for entertainment, fun activities, music, a
speaker, games, and volunteer recognition. It is a great way to meet new members and introduce
prospective members to the Club.

Audit:  This committee is responsible for the internal audit of all financial aspects of the Club.

Rental facilities: These three rental facilities each have an annual clean-up weekend in the spring,
open house once a year, a budget and plans to prepare yearly, landscaping, and general
maintenance, and are located in Camp Hazelhurst.

Buena Vista:  This rental facility is a 2-story duplex with 3 bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms,
living room and screened-in porch on each side. The original structure was renovated and an
    addition was added in 1999.

Family Cottage:  This rental facility is a duplex with 1 bedroom, kitchen, 1 bathroom, living
room and screened-in porch on one side.

Farmhouse:  This rental facility is a shared, year-round, air conditioned and heated facility
with 7 private bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a large communal kitchen, a living/dining room, and a
large gathering area. The entire structure was renovated in 2010.

Conservation:  The Conservation Committee has quarterly meetings and provides articles for our
bulletins concerning ecological issues. The committee members oversee, promote, and raise funds for
the Helen Strzelecki Conservation Scholarship; survey membership for new ideas and interests
concerning conservation subjects; develop Earth Day activities each year and oversee conservation
projects of Spring Grove and Hazelhurst Camps.

Elections:  This Committee is enacted only if there is a contested election for board officers or
directors. Their purpose is to conduct a ballot election as described in the current bylaws.

Finance:  This committee oversees the budgets of all committees of the Club and provides for future
financial planning.

Hazelhurst:  The camp has many sub-committees ranging from the beach path to the Saturday
Night Programs.  Most activities occur during the summer months.

Historical:  This committee organizes and maintains historical documents, pictures and other items
of historical value related to Club committees, property and activities.

Membership:  If you have interviewing skills or if you enjoy meeting new people this is the
committee for you. Committee members interview and orientate new members into the club, attend
membership meetings, and occasionally staff our membership booth at Club events.

Nominating:  The purpose of this committee is to prepare yearly a slate of officers and directors to
present to the general membership for approval.

Planning:  Responsibilities include designing long range goals of each committee and to provide
ideas and guidelines for all aspects of the Club.

Promotional:  This committee works with other committees or the Board of Directors to promote
activities and events of the Club.

Publications:  Editor of the newsletter is accompanied by members interested in providing a
quarterly bulletin to educate and inform the general membership of upcoming events, member news
and conservation issues.

Spring Grove:  Trailer and tent camping are featured here along with many outdoor activities. A
shared lodge with a beautiful view is also available. This camp has many sub-committees ranging
from the pond and grounds to conservation.
