Prairie Club 114th Annual Meeting set for June 4, 2022, at Hazelhurst
An in-person Annual Meeting of the Prairie Club will take place on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the new Hazelhurst Pavilion. The day will begin with a new members meet and greet at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time. At 10:45 am the Annual Meeting will begin with Club President Doug Elrick as the Master of Ceremonies. Lunch will take place at 11:30. The picnic lunch will include hot dogs, hamburgers, and vegan burgers as well as various side dishes and desserts. The lunch is free to Prairie Club members and $10 for nonmembers age 12 and older while for children 3 to 11 the fee is $5.
After the picnic lunch under the pavilion, a speaker from Chikaming Open Lands will give a presentation in the Red Barn.
On the next day, there will be a kayak/canoe trip on the Galien River beginning at 1:00 pm. Anyone who needs to rent a kayak can do so from Third Coast Paddling, 200 Marquette Drive, New Buffalo where the phone number is 269-468-9399. Single kayaks cost $25 and double kayaks are $30.
This event is for fully vaccinated people. Attendees to the Red Barn talk are required to wear a mask.
